Greenwich
My trip to Greenwich was awesome. Greenwich is in London near the river Thames and it was the first place were time was measured. It is famous for its 0 degrees longitude. There are museums which explain the history of the prime meridian.
Its name?
The name Greenwich Meridian is derived from the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Meridian means midday.
How many lines are there?
There are 3 meridian lines. The main meridian line was founded by Sir George Biddell Airy. The other 2 Meridian lines were made by James Bradley and Edmond Halley. Confused?😐😕Well the picture above is Airy's meridian line. His line is the main meridian. Halley's and Bradley's meridian line are marked in the inside of the museum.
Fun facts!
-At 1pm everyday a large red sphere falls to tell sailors the time if they have to fix their watches.
-On the line there are degrees that show what latitude each country is.
-The meridian divides the earth into North, South, East and West.
-When the sun is at its highest point, it is exactly 12pm at Greenwich🌞
-King Henry the 8th was born in Greenwich👑
-Shakespeare may have rehearsed his plays in Greenwich👸
-Some of the trees there date back to the 1600s 🌲
-The Greenwich meridian goes through UK, France, Spain and lots more🌍
-Greenwich park is the oldest known Royal park
-The royal observatory costed almost £520💰

Seat number A-13
It was a tranquil
morning. Isabelle was dragging her bags downstairs for her trip to New York.
While her parents got ready, Isabelle spent her time watching TV and eating her bowl of
cereal. The family left the house around 8am for a 12pm flight.
Isabelle reached Heathrow and completed check-in around 10am. She and her
mum went near the gate to discuss the journey while her dad went to find some snacks for refreshing.
When Isabelle
boarded the flight, she immediately started fidgeting with the screen in front
of her. Soon the plane started taxiing and the pilot made an announcement that
the flight time was 10 hours and heading to New York. He also mentioned that
there were 81 passengers on board.
The flight
took off around 12:05pm and Isabelle managed to complete many stuff. She watched some movies, ate lunch and even managed to sleep for a few hours. However, half way through the flight, a flight attendant
noticed a seat which was vacant but the pillows had been used. She questioned the passengers sitting next
to it. Surprisingly, they said it was neater and tidier when they had entered
the flight. The attendant looked at the seat number and it said "A-13". Just then she realized that it was
one of the seats which hadn’t been booked.
Thinking it
might have been a random passenger, the flight attendant neatly cleaned the
seat and put new pillows and blankets in its respective places. Also, she placed
a “DO NOT USE” card on top of the seat before going back to check if other
passengers needed help. However, when she was heading to the cockpit, she
passed the seat she had cleaned. Now the blanket and pillow were being used in a way that a person had wrapped the blanket around themselves and the pillow was behind their head. But, she couldn't see anyone sitting there.
She rushed
to the pilots who were happily chatting while controlling the flight. She worriedly
explained what had happened and the pilots went pale. They made an announcement
that if any passengers saw or felt anything weird occurring, to kindly inform
the flight attendants. The passengers were confused at first but then forgot
about the strange announcement thinking that the plane may be going through
turbulence. Nevertheless, a few passengers started feeling people passing through
the aisles when everyone around them was sleeping. Slowly, they became aware of something abnormal taking place and reports started flowing in
to the flight attendants.
The flight was in such a tantrum that it had to land halfway through. Each passenger went to the airport lounge and started texting their friends on the case. The passengers started demanding the airplane crew for a new flight and wouldn't leave the airport without one. When the passengers got onto a new flight, nothing strange happened and they relaxed for the rest of the journey. The whole story spread on social media for a few days. Soon, the whole media got to know about the flight seat. Many news reporters wanted to make it a new case and started asking the puzzled flight crew questions.
"Can you tell us what seat number it was?"
"When did this happen?"
"When did this happen?"
"Do you know how this happened?"
From that day onward, nobody dared to book "A-13" seats in any flight and the Emirates flight Isabelle had traveled in was abandoned. Soon flight crews started finding less people sitting in any A row seats. Worried about how much money they lost, the flights started hiding all the A's with D's and all the passengers started loading in again. However, there was one more problem. All the A-13 seats which were covered by a D-13 had weird paranormal stuff happening in them. Anyone who sat in them would either die or get possessed. And the legend continues that people get possessed and stay possessed forever.

The Dead Body
It was a sunny morning. Emily was sleeping peacefully dreaming about dancing candy. That was until she was disrupted by a bright ray of light attacking her face like a untamed cat.
"Wake up Emily! It's a Friday. Last day of school before the weekend!" her mum shouted picking up clothes from the floor.
"Exactly, It's Friday. Can't I just have like 3*10 mins to sleep?" Emily retorted sleepily.
"No. Get dressed and come downstairs to eat breakfast."
Emily dragged herself out of her comfy bed to the bathroom. After brushing her teeth, she slowly got into her uniform before slumping downstairs to the dining table. Her mum laid the usual bowl of cereal, toast and jam before her eyes. She ate slowly trying to enjoy every bite but her mum kept
shouting from the hall.
"Come on Emily, we're late."
Emily grabbed her bag and slid her on shoes planning to put it on properly in the car as usual. Her mum was waiting impatiently tapping the steering wheel with her fingers. As soon as Emily she revved the accelerator and they were off.
At school her day was normal. Studies, break, studies, lunch, studies, home time. Once the final bell rang, Emily raced to the playground where her friends were waiting for her.
"Ready for the sleepover" Emily asked.
"Ready for anything" Abbie answered.
The 6 girls headed towards Oxleas woods and strolled around the area for a few hours.
Around 5pm the wind started turning chilly and the girls rushed to Emily's house. However, on their way Alice exclaimed,
"Qu est ce que c'est?"
Alice, though living in London for more than 8 years, still spoke in French when she was rushing.
The girls turned to look at where Alice was pointing and saw a distorted object. They rushed towards it and realised it was a body. The girls hurried home like crazy animals.
When they arrived, each of them started heaving out what happened breathlessly.
"Slow down. Now what happened?" said Emily's mum surprised at seeing the panting girls.
"Woods... There is a dead body in the woods." Emily said breathlessly.
The group of girls along with Emily's parents trudged down the street towards the woods. However, when they arrived all they saw was a couple branches in place of the person.
"But it was right here. We all saw it!" Emily exclaimed.
"Well a dead person can't just walk away can they?" Emily's mum said to the disappointed group in front of her. Emily and her friends walked home helplessly. IF IT WAS A PRANK WHO WAS IT AND IF IT WASN'T, WHAT HAD HAPPENED.
The next week was the mid-term holidays. The 6 friends got together and started searching for clues. They searched every corner IN the forest but found nothing. Just when they were about to give up, they heard a faint rustling. They hid in various spots so they could get a clear view of the person. It was at that moment when they saw a dirty, soiled skeleton walking through the bushes. The girls gasped in astonishment and took pictures to show Emily's mum.
"Voir c'est vrai" Alice exclaimed.
"Sorry, I don't understand French" Emily's mum said looking confused.
"Mum, she said it is true," Emily continued, "We have proof now. So tell us, can skeletons walk?"
"No they can't."
"Then how do you explain this?" Emily exclaimed.
"A weird man in a skeleton suit wearing makeup. Seriously Emily, how can you not see the zip and makeup all over the suit!?"
"Ohhhh. Well it's not our fault that we didn't know."
"Then who's fault is it?"
"Our brains!!!!" said the girls in unison and started laughing their heads off.
At that moment the girls realised it was Halloween and immediately started decorating the house in time for trick-or-treating.

The Pyramid Guardian
It was a serene night. Emily, who was supposed to be in bed, was wide awake. Earlier that night Emily had had an enormous fight with her mum. Humiliated, she was running away.
She left the house with a bottle of water and her phone, She walked agitatedly for around a mile before slowing down for a break.
She entered a building to take a break. However, before she could leave the doors slammed shut. Torches of fire lit up around her giving Emily a shock. Worriedly she tried calling her parents but it wouldn't connect.
Not knowing what to do, Emily turned around and followed the path. She found herself in front of a large room filled with precious stones and gold. It was then when she realised and thought to herself "Oh no! I'm in the Pyramid of Giza
She started panicking and shuddering at the thought that just a few rooms away, there was a mummy. Emily ran back to the entrance and started pounding on the door hoping it would open.
At that moment, a figure flew in front of her and stopped her,
"Stop!" it shouted
Emily froze. She was paralyzed in fear
The figure said in a deep voice, " You have entered the Pyramids of Giza. You're doomed forever!"
"Why? What have I done" Emily questioned
"Um, hellooo, are you listening. I just said. You've entered the pyramids of Giza"
"So?"
Just then the figure put on a surprised and confused look.
"Young lady, this is the Pyramid of Giza, not the pyramid of playing"
"It was a mistake. I didn't know. The doors were wide open."
"Some mechanical failure then. Boys, fix the door now!" the figure screamed scratching its head.
Emily rolled her eyes and slapped the figure hard on its face.
"Listen up Mr. I don't know who in the world you are guy. Are you going to fix this situation or what?"
"Hey, that hurt! I'm going to tell my mummy" the figure said rudely sticking its tongue out.
"What is your problem? You're supposed to be guarding this place, not telling people off!"
"It was your problem that you didn't see that this was the pyramid in the first place."
"Well, it was your problem that there was no security on the outside too!"
"Oh. Yeah. Boys!!!!"
"Yes Sir!"
"Guard the outside of the pyramid to make sure no notorious people like her enter in."
"Yes Sir!" The two boys answered.
"As for you. Get out of my pyramid!"
"OK, OK. Keep your hair on. But firstly its not your pyramid and second, you don't have any hair so..." Emily said strolling out of the pyramid.
There was a huge "bang"from the doors behind her.
"Emily"
It was at that moment when Emily found herself sitting on her bed wide awake.
It was all a dream. Her mum had made the "bang" and her name was being called out by her dad.
